Killarney Provincial Park
Located
in the heart of the La Cloche Mountain range, Killarney's ancient quartzite
hills, wild landscapes and clear lakes provide a beautiful setting for
a wilderness canoe trip. Hiking up a rocky ridge will show you why native
people considered this a land of spirits. On our 4 night trip, you will
travel through a circuit of gorgeous lakes joined by tough portages. Completing
each portage is generously rewarded by a turquoise lake nestled among
the white hills of La Cloche. Note: Prior camping or canoeing experience
is recommended for this 4 nt, but this could be your FIRST canoe trip!
What you bring: a sleeping bag, outdoor clothing from our recommended
packing list and personal items.
What we supply: a great canoe trip guide, first nights' accommodation
at a northern base with cabins and sauna, 3 nights camping fees in Killarney
Park interior, all camping and canoe trip equipment. Post trip celebratory
picnic with loads of fresh food and cold drinks!
Trip Rendevous: 7pm Thursday June 28. Riverside Cabins, 30 minutes
west of Sudbury Ontario, on the Spanish River. (5 hour drive from Toronto,
6 from Ottawa, 2 hours from Saulte St. Marie, Michigan)
Trip End Point: 2pm Monday July 2. Killarney Park access point
Willisville, or 3pm Riverside Cabins.

Flex your muscles on a two day whitewater canoe trip; stretch yourself
physically, mentally and spiritually with yoga in nature; witness the
rise of the full moon in a birdwatcher's and naturalist's paradise; hike
with a local geologist.
Through this adventure, you will immerse yourself in a naturalists
paradise with ample opportunities for wildlife viewing in one of Northern
Ontarios most lush and diverse ecosystems. The Spanish River is
considered a premier white-water destination and is known to harbour the
largest remaining protected stand of continuous red and white pine forest
in the world. You will hone your skills on a section which is a perfect
introductory whitewater canoe trip!
After your canoeing adventure, you return to an eco-friendly, off the
grid retreat centre.
Located in a provincially significant wetland, your retreat centre is
home to huge bio-diversity. Learn about the importance of wetland habitat,
explore meandering creeks and hidden ponds with an experienced guide.
Hike the captivating Onaping Falls region and learn the natural geology
of the area. Chill out with yoga. Enjoy a traditional sauna, tell stories
and socialize by the lakeside campfire following delicious dinners filled
with organic homegrown ingredients.
Included: 4 nts, 3 at eco-retreat centre, 1 wilderness camping; all gear
except a sleeping bag; all meals, guides, yoga instruction, shuttle to
and from Spanish River including a ride on the VIA rail Budd Car.

Available entire paddling season from June 15-Sept 15 for groups of 4-8
