Spring, summer of 2005 Beth- at the prompting of her feminist daughter- did the Pride festival circuit in search of the perfect donor to be the father of BUSHboy. Beth attended and hit up guys for... ah... donations in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Chicago and Vancouver. She was the very drunk pushing woman with the turkey baster...charming but persistent.
Bushboy’s biological father does have a profile gathering and what we have ascertained thus far is this:

1. He is gay gay gay!

2. He is Canadian or has a Canadian sensibility (some believe he may be from the Midwest United States. They apologize a lot!)

3. He is either flamboyantly outdoorsy (i.e. thinks cargo pants and a bandana is a fashion statement; sometimes mistaken as straight (!) when chopping wood (duh!), whines if he doesn’t get at least one wilderness trip a year) OR

4. He is closeted outdoorsy (i.e. outward appearances suggest this boy would never stray too far from a Starbuck’s and yet in his heart of hearts he is hiding his love for nature. Perhaps he gardens just a bit too much...)
